Funding Research, Education, and Training

The Arc of Washington State Trust Fund is nonprofit and classified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.  Your donations are tax deductible.  The Trust Fund relies on your individual donations to provide students, professionals, and researchers with funds to support education, training, and research in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). We welcome all levels of donation, whether it’s a one-time gift, a monthly donation, or the establishment of a matching gifts program.

Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Please check with your employer to see if it offers a matching gift program that will match your gift to The Arc of Washington State Trust Fund. And remember, the full amount of your donation is tax-deductible.

Leave your Legacy

Consider leaving a legacy donation to The Arc of Washington State Trust Fund as part of your estate planning. Many families create Special Needs Trusts to provide for family members with a disability but are often unsure of where the Trust’s money should go after that family member passes. The Arc of Washington State Trust Fund continuously uses its assets to serve the long-term interests of the I/DD community, and any donation, including of any residue or residual of a Special Needs Trust, would contribute directly to that legacy.

Workplace Matching Gifts

Some companies will match a portion or your entire donation to The Arc of Washington State Trust Fund. After confirming that your employer matches charitable donations, ask your HR department for a Workplace Giving Form. Submit this form with your donation to The Arc of Washington State Trust Fund and we will complete the necessary information and resubmit the completed form to your employer.
